I AM LUCKY WHEN I AM NOT DISTRACTED THIS TIME (2019) is a publicshed text and performance that dwells upon the conceptual and political tensions between 'attention' and 'distraction'. During the performance, another person has agency over the sound of Luca's voice. She changes its pitch and timbre by pressing buttons and sliding faders on a digital voice transformer. The (performed) text is initially written in 36 separate footnotes that serve its title. It interlaces statements and thoughts on privilege, trauma and institutionalised oppression.
